 The Trade

I unloaded Miles and S. Jax for Antwain and DeShawn.

Considering the other owner had Shaq as his first pick, this GM would obviously stick with his first overall selection... so at some point he can say "I told you so" unless your name is Holeydonut.

Everyone know Shaq is the FT% killer, so this owner might as well give up on that category when Shaq comes back, which was soon. So I bet he felt obligated to pull the trigger to improve his team across the board while tanking the FT category.

Here comes Darius Miles shooting at 55% FT for the season thus far but filling out the rest of the stat sheet. He makes a good fit in Stamens team because surprisingly Miles is having a breakout year considering all his previous unfulfilled seasons. His numbers are not very different from Jamison's except he doesn't shoot 3s and turns the ball twice as much. Oh, and Jamison grabs all the rebounds from Gilbert's misses, so Jamison's rebounding is surprisingly higher than projected. So why Stamens took this trade? I don't know.

To offset the trade we exhanged S. Jax for Deshawn. First, S. Jax sux plain and simple. Even Jasikevicius? is outplaying him. He is in the biggest slump. I'm sure he will come out of it, but it'll be for another team now. I'm not a big fan of Deshawn but I'm a big fan of the Magic, so I don't mind having him. He's only good for Points category and I think he's borderline FA if it wasn't for us being in a deep league.

The offer was laid out before the announcement that Miles was going to be out indefinately so at the time it was a fair offer. We exchanged trade proposals the whole week and this is the one Stamens took. Maybe he accepted this before the news was announced, I don't know... but certainly I didn't twist his arm to accept this trade. It's done, I feel a bit guilty about it but I just improved on my cursed team with this trade.
