Week 2: 1 Big Trade and Shockwave Still Reigns

(edited because I am dumbs) Again, Shockwave Pulsar's team came out on top and he keeps the best overall record. But, Sakaruba's team may be more powerful since he has the lowest "Average Rank." However, this weeks' matchups didn't have any serious blowouts as experienced in Week 1. I've added a "Last Week" column to the spreadsheet of awesomeness so you can see if a team got better/worse through their moves or injuries.

The biggest gainer was, unfortunately, the manager I was matched up with. Vegibear did absolutely nothing, and his team just boosted up in the rankings. Big games from Troy Murphy and Bosh (he outperformed KG... who also happens to be on his squad) boosted this rankings up big time this week... which means that I lost 6-3 in some very close matchups. With Murphy's bombs, Vegibear snuck by on 3 pointers (by 2) and points (by one lonley and bastardly point), but I managed to sneak out a win in FG% (0.3%) and Turnovers (3 TOs).

The next biggest gainer was Asian Sensation who found a way to overcome injuries to TMac and Boozer to put together an amazing week. He has some killer sleepers in E.Jones, Mike James, and Caron Butler. If he had a few more blocks out of Dampier, this matchup would have been a total blowout.

About the trade. On November 7, Petro gave up Okafor to get Rip and Calderon from IversonXP. Petro was sneaky in this since he already got 1 game out of Okafor before the trade. Interestingly, it hurt both parties involved. Of the two involved teams, the one that dropped the most in the Average Rank this week Petro. Yes, Petro won his matchup, but he seriouslly bagged his team. Petro's squad used to be a killer in rebounds and blocks, but now it's sort of middle of the road in those categories. I guess it's just one week, but hey, I'm not complaining because IversonXP's team also got worse by nearly the same amount, and I'm matched up with him next week :) Now, both Petro and Iverson's teams are about on par with mine - and yes, my team is sorry.

I guess Stamens is cursing himself for drafting Shaq #1 right now. Even with a huge, psychic-powers game from Charlie V, Sakaruba's squad got hammered in its average rank without the the Big Aristotle in his lineup. (sorry, I had originally cited Sakaruba in this paragraph .... it's actually Stamens that has Shaq and Charlie V.)

Oh, did I mention that my team continues to suck? Yes, yes it does.

Asian Sensation - you have a trade proposal :)

Yeah, your team is definitely the powerhouse so far, I wonder when you and Shockwave will get matched up.

ADWCTA must be pissed off. He had to get hammered by Shockwave in week 2 - and now he's matched with the most powerful team in the league for week 3.

But really, your team is hinged on Tony Parker - if he comes crashing down, you'll have trouble. You also got lucky with CWebb. I think he'll be giving you injury woes sooner as opposed to later ;)

Yeah, there isn't really a "veto" system set up since I think any trade that ADWCTA likes will be forced through without much fanfare. Although, I think if trades were posted here on this blog - it would benefit us all :)

Maybe that's why my team is at the bottom since I played the best two teams in my first two weeks. Or my team just sucks. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Apparently you haven't seen just how badly the big Z is sucking it up this year. I'm actually thinking that Bogut can become the 12/10 guy with high FG% that I need... especially now that Kobe-Show is going for interior shooting powers.and the Big Z is well....... I dunno about him.

Oh well, my team can only improve!!!!!!

FYI, in another H2H league (one where I'm actually doing well in), I drafted Bogut in round 5 and I have no regrets :) Of course, I also have 3 other rookies on that team and my boy JR Smith :)

Well, JR only had 2 games last week - not much to talk about there.

I think he'll start bombing from downtown sooner or later - and when he does - he will be awesome :) JR's worth the late round pick though - I hope you didn't pick him up earlier than 100 overall.
