 Expert Advice Needed:

Okay, so I'm in another league (it has a few of the guys that did the blog last year; but no elandfried)... and my team is actually pretty good. I'm looking to do a trade, but then I'd like some advice. Obviously, I'm not going to ask Forums.Fanball since people there still think Kurt Thomas is worth a damn. Oh wait, that was ADWCTA and he's part of the Fanball League!!! aaahhhhh :p

Anyway - I'd like to trade Jason Kidd - but I'm biding my time hoping he'll put some decent games together before I ship him out. I've determined that Chris Paul is just a poor man's Jason Kidd with higher FG% (like, I think I could have a higher FG% than Kidd this season). Who would be a good target in eiher a straight up deal or a package? I really like Tony Parker and Ricky Davis, but I think that would have to be a 2 for 2 where I don't get hosed :)

My team... the league is 10 team H2H with weekly lineups. We also have a faux IL where the honor system is used (it was in place before the draft) so we knew what we were getting into. Yes, I need more frontcourt help - having Diogu and Dalembert out has hurt me so far this year.

if you are going for fg%, you should try to move jr smith to somebody who still is high on him or sell high on zaza along with kidd in 2-2 or possibly 3-3 deal. it's much easier to make a good deal that way. i have never seen a 1-1 deal that i thought is completely fair to both managers, and it's especially hard to get your worth for late 1st/early 2nd rounder who is underperforming at the moment. since most of the 2nd rounders are playing well for now you would probably have to settle for a 3rd rounder in 1-1 deal. if you don't want to move anyone else you should try to get ak47 or t-mac on the bases of their injury-proness(though i don't see it happening, it's certainly worth a shot) and if that doesn't work you should try getting brad since he too had a slow start. i'd recommend you more player deal or to give kidd more time and enjoy his triple-doubles few weeks from now, besides he doesn't even shoot too much so he alone can't hurt you on fg% all that much

Just an update... I pulled the trigger on a trade...

I give Kidd and JR Smith to get Parker and Maggette... I'll probably try to trade Maggette to someone looking to boost up in FT%... but I'll see how things shake down for the time being.

Yeah, Corey is a TO machine and Parker is likely to fade a bit, but I think I come out ahead in this trade since I already have the multi-cat Wade and Paul in my backcourt.
